A series of sketches and painting that may form together....
At one point this was going to be a just a painting, then I decided I wanted to practice some styles and did more, then I wanted to make a little short strip, then I wanted to try and make it more cohesive and detailed and add text. then after falling out of inspiration because I wasn't sure I could make something actually lore filled with characters I didn't own and have it be impactful.. I ended up leaving it for way to long. Began working on my own little "comic" like thing on the side.... etc etc etc. Now I've decided to strip the unfinished panel and leave it as a little collection of sketches and paintings that may or may not form together.
Basically this should have stayed a single painting, but I got a little overzealous and flew a little to close to the sun. But I learned a couple of things about how to paint a little quicker and what can be sacrificed while still keeping a decent aesthetic. I also remembered the other reason I paint quick.. I do eventually fall out of inspiration for things, sometimes I fall back in, sometimes I don't. It's pretty unreliable to be sure!
But this is a QUITE overdue commission for
Defiance

Oh my goodness I love everything about this. I think it tells a fantastic story without words, and your lighting and colors lend a both real and surreal atmosphere of life. Thank you so much for the AMAZING wingit art, it's once again an honor to have your vision for my characters.
