I actually had a lot of name ideas, including "inner fire", "fiery outburst" and some variations on the one I went with (mostly tweaking "fury" to something else), but I think I like this one the most ? Honestly had a really hard time settling on one, hopefully I don't regret it later, suppose I can always tweak it if needed :'D

THAT ALL BEING SAID

So if you've followed my account casually or at all prior to seeing this, this might seem completely out of nowhere. It's not really as cutesie and cuddly as normal, nor is it close to the same theme and moods the rest of the drawings of her in my gallery have.
If you've talked to me about her, or rather let me ramble her about her a bunch and my ideas for her, and/or you've read her reference, the description for it and some of the images, you might be more able to see this side of her, as just another part to her.
Because yes, this IS a canonical aspect to her. Now, it's also REALLY uncommon, because essentially this is what her "last desperate stand" would look like. As in, in order to make her go this far, you'd have to push her to the edge, ignore all her warning signs, push her OVER the edge, continue to ignore her signs, KEEP pushing her even further to the next edge and still ignore everything, as you push her over that one too, at which point she's gotten to the point where there's no going back. It's very much a defensive/desperation move, doing everything she can to protect herself. Awful way to explain it, but that's the general idea, just more stupid because I needed to explain it simply :'D

Prior to that, she can STILL recover and keep things in check, but if consistently pushed, eventually she won't be able to and all her limitations and inhibitions will essentially just, disappear, and she'll more or less enter a blind rage, burning everything around her. The wings being her inner fire magic manifesting physically, and yes they too will set everything on fire, so if you're anywhere near her, you're in for a bad time.

Another thing to make this even more "fun" for everyone involved, once she gets to this point, she'll essentially just keep going, until eventually she just more or less, combusts into flames herself and burns up, the fire completely consuming her. Thankfully for her (and Meru I suppose, or he'd be a sad soggy noodle!) she will eventually reemerge from her own ashes, sorta like a Phoenix! Obviously in a much weakened state initially, but hey, at least she'll be back in control at that point haha.
That part is STILL very much a WIP, I mean the entire thing is, so it's not entirely set in stone, but that's the general idea for it atm!

The Phoenix part is also what inspired her wings (and to grow them in this state in the first place), it's been discussed a few times, and she does have a bunch of Phoenix qualities, so I've been incorporating that a bit <:

ONTO THE ART ITSELF

I absolutely LOVE how it turned out! She looks absolutely imposing and quite frankly, terrifying, and I'm all for it, because that's exactly the type of emotion I want to be felt from this side of her, because she is anything BUT friendly at this point!
The fire and lighting looks absolutely gorgeous, and I love how she's drawn and the design of her wings, they thematically fit everything wonderfully!
Everything just looks incredibly and I'm super happy with how it turned out!
