Ducklett [Pokémon] ''Where Da Peat Moss Is'' by Lay
A Pokémon picture that I drew today. It's a Unova one this time -- Ducklett!
-- Here, he's diving into the Lilypad Pond in search of that delicious Peat Moss he loves so much. A Finneon and a Clamperl are also minding their own business under the water surface, the beams of sunlight not being able to reach the bottom of the pond, making Clamperl's shell look like a mere dark silhouette on the bottom.
As an extra touch, I added bubbles that are in the shape of Japanese letters, which spell Ducklett's original Japanese name -- Koaruhie!
EDIT: I did create a similar picture -- with pencils, too -- but it turned out really bad in my opinion. So I threw it away and started with a new piece of paper. This time, though, I think it's way more accurate to how Ducklett actually looks! I mainly used its official Ken Sugimori artwork, but I wanted to have it in a different pose. The Pokémon is swimming and diving for food in this scenario, after all.

DUCKLETT is one of my most favorite of favorite Pokemon. The image you drew for it is simply delightful for how it is like something you would find in 'Pokemon: Snap', or in a Pokemon nature documentary.
***
Before I lost my eyesight, I collected cards for DUCKLETT and very much remember one that had 'flavor text' talking about its love for peat moss. If I recall the image, it showed DUCKLETT from beneath the water as it looked down and, in my best guess, decided it was just about ready to dive down for the tasty vegetation.
***
Nicely done and great love shared to an often forgotten Pokemon, DUCKLETT.

And I like your detailed descriptions. :)
Even if I still had enough eyesight left to see what you had drawn for DUCKLETT, I would not have the type of comments I do without getting to know what inspired 'you' to draw what you drew and why 'you' feel it was worth doing.
***
There are many people who rely entirely on the image to sell what they are trying to share. However, I feel getting to know why the individual feels what they have to share is worth me taking the time to review it.
You do well in using easy to imagine descriptions that make me, and I believe others, say, "This is not just another DUCKLETT picture.". :)
