DO IT, RAISE YOUR PRICES!! I struggle with this too and get really anxious about charging any amount really. But your art is worth it!! Art is a luxury good, not something that people NEED for their safety and wellbeing. This means you charging them fair wages for YOU doesn't mean you're denying or overcharging them for something they need in order to survive.
Also your art is really good??? And definitely worth it! Last tidbit I learned from other more experienced commission artists (who also have trouble charging what they're worth cuz it seems most artists have self esteem issues ^^;; ) is that if you aren't at least SLIGHTLY uncomfortable with your prices, you probably aren't charging enough.

Sorry to ramble! I am just very passionate about artist getting paid fairly for their time and skills, in a world where art is so devalued and even demanded for FREE all the time. I also have a hard time telling myself these things too at times so it helps to tell them to other people as well! ^^; Plus, artists encouraging each other to raise their prices makes it less common and acceptable for people to take advantage of those who have especially low feelings of self worth. Particularly for younger artists/people just starting to get into doing commissions, who are easily exploitable and see others being bullied into undercharging for their art so they think they have to undercharge too!

CHARGE MORE and if anyone gets angry or laughs, that's someone who isn't worth your time and doesn't deserve your work. Also I'll Fite Them.

Oh, it's actually really nice to hear support for my desire to raise prices!
It's just that I was raised in a society where art work is not appreciated and prices in the art community of my country are often really criminally low.
Once I urgently needed money, and the Paypal transfers it to the card from 2 to 5 days, so I opened commissions on the art platform of my country in order to receive payment immediately to my own card, and it literally was $7 for a portrait! And this is often normal for our community, someone takes that kind of money even for a full body!

So this resonates perfectly with my fear of judgment from people :"")

Damn, that's horrible!! :( Art is a skill and a trade, it takes time and practice and persistence and a lot of energy, like any other trade! You deserve to be paid fairly. Every artist does, which is why I'm ALWAYS in support of artists raising their prices.
