I imagine that after the soldiers and other 'guests' like Flint had their ransoms paid and were released by the rebels that there was still some desire to get some payback. I imagine Murk would have been joking around with the prisoners and was maybe a prime target for kidnapping. The otn and cleave combo will ensure he's quiet. As well when you've got a captive with a ripped physique like Murk then might as well have him shirtless to admire his muscles while he strains to escape his bonds.
To give Murk a little extra incentive to see if he can manage to free himself he's been told he'll shortly be undergoing some enhanced interrogation via relentless tickling of his torso or maybe just people wanting to touch his muscles.
