The U.S. Air Force's Anthem (Synthesizer Version)
Today officially concludes the 30 YEARS OF MUSIC event that
BlueMario1016 and I began last year on my 30th birthday. It would have ended on my 31st (1/8/2021), but because of COVID-19, we extended it until the last day of September, which is today. Blue and I each have our own way of symbolizing it, but here's how I did it.
Out of impulse, I decided to try the anthem associated with the U.S. Air Force. I still have the Marine Corps and the Coast Guard left, but I felt that if I've done the songs for Army and Navy, I shouldn't leave the others out. (Also, I learned the songs in elementary school, but they didn't teach us the Coast Guard song. Why are we leaving them out?)
I still kept it in the simple style that I'm used to doing these scores for, but please note I actually used the EMU Proteus 2 synthesizer for this one. This was my own choice; this wasn't because Blue requested it.
The instruments used for this are:
2 trumpets
Horn in F (which means French horn, I'm guessing)
Trombone
Tuba
Glockenspiel
Timpani
Snare drum
Bass drum
Cymbals
This arrangement (C) me and me alone
Original music composed by Robert MacArthur Crawford back in 1938, so I'm guessing this is not in the public domain.
U.S. Air Force anthem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjubCAfLKVU
I did not include the extra part where this arrangement changes from B-flat to F Major. The F Major section is a separate selection known as "The Toast."
The Toast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N87b61rbn78
EDIT: Research revealed this is in the public domain after all.
