He is a rather handsome lion with a nice taste in hats and he's barefoot and showing off a rather nice chest with his shirt open, so I'm not surprised that he was rather liked. He was sleeping in class so he does deserve to helped to stay awake with some tickling.
I'd keep up his tickling until he agreed to letting me borrow his hat.
