no.1: Harpy

Man it feels good to be doing these all month again; especially after three regrettable years of only having thirteen. That's not I disliked those countdowns, in fact they only even got made because of the reduced number of entrees but there's just something special about being able to celebrate the Spooky Month literally ALL month long, but I'm getting away from myself.

Kick starting this year's-(subjectively)-sexy Halloween Countdown it's the half woman, half bird hybrid from Greek/Roman decent, the Harpy. Not gonna lie, from the get go this presented some issues for me. See, I'm not really all that into birds. It's not that I dislike them it's just that I'm very picky about them in regards to being appealing character designs-(I dunno, it's mainly the beak)-but with a little bit of work I made something that I enjoy. Maybe not exactly 'sexy' but I wanted to go something cute and plucky. The kind of character that may not be initially very cute but their actions endear you to them more and more; and yes, I know the face should technically be human in order to be a Harpy, this is really just a big bird more than anything but it's my design and I'll draw it how I want~
