carijet96 , thank you very much!
One of those paintings that just caused some struggles along the way to the point where i had to repaint most of it at some point. But sometimes that's just how it goes and just pushing pixels around when it's not working isn't going to get you there. Sometimes you're lucky and notice it early, sometimes late...annoyingly at that point it of course becomes harder and harder to actually go the step of painting over hours of work, but it pretty much always is the actual solution to the problem. Anyway, hope you enjoy it!

Iβm working on a fursuit head commission that is like that. Normally, the things are easy for me to build. This one, tho, forced me to resculpture it two times over. Then once the shape and size were good, the one of eyes I installed was slightly deeper than the other. Nothing about this particular head has been cooperative, but thatβs how it goes sometimes. Finally got the head to where I was happy w/ it tho.

Yep, like a videogame one can't exactly expect levels without challanges. And ultimately i think the satisfaction of overcoming the difficult ones is a big part of growth as an artist. Just building that confidence that you can wrangle anything to a place where you are satisfied with it in the end.
Yep they were a big inspiration because they were justa perfect fit for the commission brief. And yeah there is something very bittersweet about the remnants of a civilization like that. The lives that have been lived out on those walkways, the struggles and joys they witnessed. It's fascinating to think about and makes it something i'm super fascinated by.
Hope our friend brought a dry set of clothes. Either way, it would be worth it for the atmosphere you created so well! Those touches of red really pop out from the greenery and foliage.
I appreciate how you create your backgrounds. Can't wait to see your next piece!

I absolutely love this piece!! And well worth the additional hours of re-painting ;3
The colour composition, the lighting, the narrative, it's all so captive. One of those paintings I can get completely submerged in as if I was actually there.
Stunning work as always <3
*just clicked on the link to prints, but alas, I couldn't find this one. Will it be available for print at some point? Would love to have a copy*

pre-pandemic I spent many months of each year else where in the world, exploring derelict areas off the beaten track, so this picture really invokes some wonderful memories ^^
The link is fixed and works perfect now thanks.
I've bought the print, so I eagerly await to bark at the postie XP

Hmmmm....actually... at least for me it for some reason doesn't want to open the page of this particular image.
No idea why... i hope it works for you and others though as i've no idea what's broken or how i could potentially fix it besides reuploading the image and crossing my fingers... So i hope it's just an isolated issue.

Well, I know that there's a type of pond plant with small, rounded leaves that floats on top of the water, called duckweed; the pond at the end of my driveway is covered in it, and from time to time the wind makes it swirl into a big fingerprint pattern.
Pond scum is another plant that can clog waterways, but it's filimentous and doesn't part as easily.

Wow! I'm so mesmerized by the vibrant orange in this.... what an atmosphere! The orange reflecting in the cleared path in the water is so interesting. This is so unique and so very well done, the repainting was definitely worth it for a piece to come out as amazing as this!
The lighting and the entire environment are very impressive. This is a very striking painting!
The sunk cost fallacy is a real thing! Sometimes it really is better to scrap it all and start over, but as you said, convincing yourself that that's truly the best way to go can be an impossible task.
Very nice work! I'm glad you got where you wanted to go with this piece.
