Patreon Activity – September 2021
The month of September got to see the full rollout of the new Your Character Here art and digital coloring of pencil sketches. The feedback on the media technique has been overwhelmingly positive. Thank you so much for the encouragement!
For the first time in many months, I fully cleared out my Patreon to do list with no carry over. A huge sigh of relief with that off my shoulders. @.@’
September saw almost as much production as August which was the most productive month to date. With over 30 unique pictures produced, it was a picture a day. The lower time requirements for the new digital style helped immensely with this.
For October we will be seeing yet another new member joining my cast as I finished her right at the end of September: Yvonnita the Espeon, Goddess of Expression, sister to Anniki the Umbreon. Fitting that this gal was first conceived alongside Nayomi the Vaporeon, she took an enormous amount of time to develop and I can’t wait to show her off.
Yvonnita and the success with my digital coloring style has brought to my attention something new I could offer: Adoptables. A lot of people love the characters I make not just for myself but also others and it would give me a chance to let others in on it. I like making them, but my cast is already so enormous that I have to give serious consideration when I want to add a new one.
I think the biggest obstacle for me offering Adoptables is that I don’t know if I can emotionally handle parting with characters. At least when I make them for people like pkmndiamond493, Jsk244, and VDO the characters tend to come back to me for an opportunity to work on.
If I do go with Adoptables, I will do my best to avoid cookie cutter designs. I would also try and give them the considerations I would if they were my own, like avoiding super complicated and busy design. I would create them as if I would be making art of them regularly! Selling them would probably be auction format with Autobuy option and would be handled on FurAffinity.
Also, I want to make a plug for something that makes my enormous output of art possible. I could not do what I do today without it:
PostyBirb
PostyBirb is a free program you can download and hook it up to sites like FurAffinity and Twitter. This program allows me to schedule posts days in advance so I can let posts rollout while I am busy with other things. It really shines with FurAffinity as it allows you to quickly and easily add keywords from keyword collects you created. Whenever I post something macro, I have a “Macro” set I click or for hyper boobs, a “Hyper Boobs” set as examples.
I highly recommend this software if you are a high output artist or poster like I am. And if you like it, definitely consider sending the dev some money.
The theme for most of the doodles in September month was characters depicted doing their job in my world!
