Back in 2000 I was in a sort of drawing class at Ferris State University. While there I had my first experience with brushed ink as more than just "paint an outline" sort of thing. I can't remember why I chose this subject, but it's actually not very large in person (like, 5"x7" or something).

Having done this once, I then assumed I could do it on a much larger scale... the 3-panel samurai image...
