these both have "ringtail" in their name, and most often, because of that, they both get called lemurs.
only one of these is a lemur- but which one?
but what species is the not-a-lemur?

Thank you! Yes, it bugs me too. I actually have a ringtail cat character for a few years ago, that I'm semi-afraid to unleash on the world because of that.
I like the way you drew the ringtail cat's face and ears. Very cute. And the lemur just looks a bit perturbed by the whole situation. :)

I have to explain this difference to folks allllllllll of the time. I think part of the problem is everyone has seen/heard of a ringtailed lemur in some fashion, whereas a ringtail cat/cacomistle/miners cat is pretty obscure in comparison.
