and I can understand why he did that... I thought I spotted a three footer enjoying the sun on my neighbor's pool deck - called fish, game, and wildlife - they couldn't come out for a FEW days and included that if the gator wasn't in the pool they couldn't bother it. Taking a pool noodle out, I attempted to flay the beast, only to find out it was concrete and placed there to keep the ducks away.
well... I did my best, and though I was tempted to throw it in the canal, it was too heavy...

LOL, I can just see a fox doing that in my mind's eye. Hmmm not a bad idea if it does keep ducks out of the pool. Used to live along the Central Flyway - would end up with ducks in the backyard pool during the migration seasons. Mom insisted on using floating chlorinators that looked like mallards. Dang things acted like decoys - wake up in the morning to ducks in the pool, crapping it up badly... Lived near a creek that would attract the wild ducks and what looked like a pond with a duck in it was a sure bet for them...
