Sometimes battles go wrong, terribly wrong, and you can find yourself running through some swampy grounds, hoping to lose the enemy currently chasing after all the surviving soldiers of your routed army. Oh, and in the meantime you are also trying to save the most important person in your life, while he's half dead and barely breathing on your shoulders. He's slowing you down, and while his blood keeps dripping all over you, you quickly start to realize that without him you'd truly be lost. Lost and alone.

Plenty of folks have said they love the emotional impact this has, and I will say it also. You've described the power of their friendship in a single, well defined image. When you can tell a story that intense without a single spoken word, you're definitely doing it right. Very well done.
