I actually have a LOT of pictures of this girl from IaMrE but I need to get around to coloring more of them. Anyway I really wanted to see her in CJ's bellbottoms and OH EGAD IT WORKS SO WELL! And Mr.E had the crazy idea of doing this super low angle shot which looks amazing though it was tricky to find a background for. And yes, this is small Niki.

I just realized I never brought up her backstory yet...*looks at image*...*changes title of the piece*...

So Niki is based on a lot of "childhood friend who grew up and is hot and crushes on the main character" characters and I was trying to figure out how best to explain that in a story. Like...WHOSE childhood friend is she? And why haven't we heard of her until now? Then I got the best dumb idea:

So Niki used to be a normal monkey who was really lonely, stumbled upon some ancient hyper powerful one use artifact that grants wishes somewhere in the jungle and her desire for friends caused this artifact to warp the very fabric of reality, re-writing history so she was actually an anthro monkey and EVERYONE'S best friend from childhood. Or at least 90% of the people on the island (I guess I never explained it but most of my characters live on Naja's private research island, you'll notice most are either mad scientists or test subjects. They mostly research brain transformation and recovery techniques). This actually causes numerous nonsensicle hiccups and makes her life story utterly absurd. Like somehow she went to and dropped out of like 20 schools because EVERYONE knows her from school despite going to different schools? A completely illogical reality break. Eventually people figured this out and immidiately stopped caring because Niki is a good, if incredibly silly, friend. She is EVERYONE'S sidekick.

That includes Ukiki. Oh egad if I ever make an Ukiki game in RPG Maker, Niki is gonna be her sidekick.
