Elizabeth’s Acclaimed Backside - YCH
With another wonderful opportunity, I got to do
fullspartand’s macro movie actor Elizabeth the Vulpix in this Your Character Here template! She looks really good in color, something my usual graphite stuff couldn’t quite capture that well with all her slight color differences.
This pose is so good for upskirt views, especially with how short I tend to draw them on massive rear ends. |3
This made for a nice test to show that even though the lineart and coloring took quite a while to do, that did not directly translate to a longer time shading in this style.
Done with mechanical pencil on a print off YCH template on white card stock paper and colored digitally in Photoshop CS5.

The hand in the background daintily resting on the rooftop is a really nice touch, very befitting of the character.
It's interesting seeing the way you do YCHs. These pieces feel like properly individual scenes and characters built ontop of a premade "core". I was worried you'd fall into the YCH/adopt rabbit hole, cranking out the same scene(s) with character designs confined to a base (not that those aren't enjoyable too).

Aww, thanks so much! You are right, something about that hand placement I am really happy with too!
I share your feelings. I am doing my best to avoid being overly cookie cutter with these YCHs. The actual base is so bare bone that I'm still drawing a lot from scratch; so you description of a premade "core" is pretty accurate. The 2nd YCH I have has a little less freedom than this one but still doing on ok job making them different.
