Kitty: Welcome back to the Masked Toon Singer Season 4, everybody! The first Wild Card has been dealt in the previous episode, but it's not the only one we're dealing. As we welcome back Group Omega, we're gonna deal the second Wild Card of the season!
Everyone: (cheering)
Isabelle: This season has already been getting exciting enough, but now it's cranked up to eleven!
Stew: I know! I can't wait to see what kinda contestant we'll be getting this time!
Kitty: You guys will see soon enough! Now, for those of you who're just joining us, last time we just unmasked the Robot, who happened to be Astro, the Jetsons' talking dog. Nobody guessed him, including Fred, who SHOULD'VE known it was him, so the score for the Golden Toon Ear Trophy still stands at Terry and Isabelle with one point a piece.
Fred: Well, how was I supposed to know it was the dog?
Cadence: Besides the fact that you're both from the same company?
Fred: What's THAT got to do with anything?
Terry: We figured since characters from the same company should be pretty close to one another.
Kitty: Yeah. Anyway, like last time, we're gonna play Clue Package Rewind! (holds up the same remote control she had last time) That's where we rewind the contestants' Clue Package after they perform, and see what kind of clue to their true identities we may have missed. But, without further delay, let's get this show started with our first contestant! This black and white Chinese symbol has proven to be a fan favorite in the previous episode, and now she's planning to claw her way towards the final round! So, let's grin and bear it, and give a nice round of applause for the Panda!
Panda: It's hard to believe that this adorable little Chinese bear has made it to the next round! So, I can't thank you people enough for all your support. I just wish I could say the same thing about my peers after the... ahem... incident. After what happened, my life was anything but black and white, as everyone was pretty scornful towards me about what I did. In fact, it took a battle of the bands for me to really show them who I truly was, and when I stood up against three carnivorous swamp plants that tried to feed off negative energies, I became something that came straight out of your wildest daydreams. So, how about we embrace the magic, and keep this panda off the endangered species list, shall we?
Song: "Holding Out For A Hero" by Bonnie Tyler: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GPZDX9_2oE
Kitty: Holy smokes! The Panda may be holding out for a hero, but she's definitely OUR hero today!
Terry: Well, considering what she shared with us in her Clue Package, she definitely IS one. So, it's kinda fitting.
Stew: Oh, man! That performance sure gave me goosebumps!
Fred: Don't you mean "chickenbumps"?
Stew: Seriously?
Kitty: Speaking of Clue Packages, let's rewind the Panda's Clue Package, and see what kinda clue we might've missed.
*Then, the Clue Package appears on the screen behind Kitty and the Panda, and she begins to rewind it to see if there were any clues they might have missed. She then stops it at something that she found very interesting.*
Kitty: There! Highlight that clue right there!
*The editors draw a yellow circle around a bar code, indicating that it might be a clue that went over everyone's heads.*
Isabelle: A bar code? Maybe this character works in a retail store? Like Nani from "Lilo and Stitch"?
Cadence: I don't know, Isabelle. My feelings about the Panda's identity were pretty strong, but now, they seem to be getting stronger.
Chick: Y'know something? I think Cadence may be onto something.
Kitty: Well, you guys noodle on that a bit. Right now, let's bring in our next contestant, who's more than fired up for this competition! It's gonna be a hot time down there as we prepare ourselves once again for the Devil Dog!
Devil Dog: I had a feeling I'd make it to the next round, considering that something big happened in my career recently. You see, despite my lack of popularity when I first debuted, I was part of arguably the biggest team in history, even getting my big screen debut alongside them. And, while I still wasn't as popular as the other five members of the team, I still gained a following from those who have seen it, even gaining a few fangirls in the process. And, now, I'm getting my own TV show soon, which I'm sure will help me gain more popularity in the process. Maybe once I win this competition, it'll spark interest in it, 'cause I'm due for getting the respect I deserve!
Song: "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktrq5lcm7T4
Kitty: Incredible! The Devil Dog's not letting his fire go out soon!
Fred: Considering that he's a Devil Dog, of course he'd sing a song about smoke!
Cadence: Y'know something, Fred? That performance reminded me of those cigarette commercials you used to do back in the day.
Fred: Oh, you had to bring that up, didn't you, Cadence? I'm surprised you weren't picked to do ads for a dating simulator!
Cadence: Oh, low blow, there!
Stew: (not understanding what's going on) Could someone PLEASE clue me in on what's goin' on?
Kitty: Later, Stew. Right now, let's rewind the Devil Dog's Clue Package, and see what kinda clue we might've missed.
*Then, the Clue Package appears on the screen behind Kitty and the Devil Dog, and she begins to rewind it to see if there were any clues they might have missed. She then stops it at something that she found very interesting.*
Kitty: There! Highlight that clue right there!
*The editors draw a yellow circle around a circus tent in the background, indicating that it might be a clue that went over everyone's heads.*
Terry: The circus? I didn't know the Devil Dog was with the circus.
Isabelle: Maybe it's Dumbo the Elephant!
Chick: I doubt it. How would his ears fit under the mask?
Isabelle: Well, Captain Ginyu hid his horns under the Wizard mask last season. So, maybe Dumbo's doing the same with his ears.
Chick: Huh?
Kitty: Yeah, I know. The reasoning behind some of these guesses can be very confusing at times. Well, maybe a performance from our next contestant can clear your head. It's a throwback that's coming back to wow us with her vocals and her dance moves. So, let's hear it for the Disco Ball!
Disco Ball: Here I am once again to flaunt my stuff, and hopefully make it all the way! I'm glad that my dad decided to let me venture out into the real world, and express myself more, because growing up, he took being overly protective to a WHOLE other level. I mean, sure his uncle killed my grandpa, and had him kicked out of his hometown for most of his childhood, but this was kinda pushing it, wouldn't you say? It wasn't until I realized that if I left my family, there would be further bloodshed, so with help from my husband, I was able to quell the fighting, and made my dad see that holding onto the past is not the way to go, so we put it behind us. And, now, I'm hoping for a bright future as Season 4 champion on this show!
Song: "Come Back To Me" by Vanessa Hudgens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeqm_1P4WtI
Kitty: Holy smokes! The Disco Ball's taking no prisoners here!
Chick: Yeah! When she said she was planning to make it all the way, she's not kiddin'!
Fred: Yeah, and her singing wasn't bad, either.
Chick: That, too.
Isabelle: Don't worry, Chick. That's one of quips on this show. ^^
Chick: I can see that.
Kitty: Okay, let's get down to business. Let's rewind the Disco Ball's Clue Package, and see what kinda clue we might've missed.
*Then, the Clue Package appears on the screen behind Kitty and the Disco Ball, and she begins to rewind it to see if there were any clues they might have missed. She then stops it at something that she found very interesting.*
Kitty: There! Highlight that clue right there!
*The editors draw a yellow circle around a rapid river behind the Disco Ball, indicating that it might be a clue that went over everyone's heads.*
Cadence: A river? That usually means "streaming service." Maybe it's someone who's got a something exclusive to a streaming service?
Stew: Oh, boy. My head's spinning from all this clues!
Terry: Considering on how many animated projects there are on streaming services, it's gonna be tricky narrowing it down.
Kitty: Well, you guys think about it for a bit. In the meantime, let's bring in our next contestant. They say elephants never forget, so I'm sure he's gonna give us a performance that neither HE nor us will soon be forgetting. So, let's hear it for the Elephant. ^^
Elephant: Boy, I was beginning to think I wouldn't make it to the next round. I was just THIS close to being eliminated, but I managed to pull through lickety split. I definitely had better luck wearing this mask than the mask I wore while impersonating my best friend. It was all because his girlfriend made my favorite food for them to share, so I took on his likeness just so I can get to them. Boy, I sure fooled them, until my friend saw right through me, and taught me a very valuable lesson: never put your stomach before your friends. So, let's keep my lucky streak going on this show, 'cause this pachyderm is planning to stay here straight into the finale!
Song: "Solsbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRQIic97g6U
Kitty: Wow! That was very nice, Elephant! You definitely haven't forgotten how to give a good performance. ^^
Chick: Yeah, he's pretty good, not gonna lie.
Cadence: You said it.
Kitty: Okay, now it's time to rewind the Elephant's Clue Package, and see what kinda clue we may have missed.
*Then, the Clue Package appears on the screen behind Kitty and the Elephant, and she begins to rewind it to see if there were any clues they might have missed. She then stops it at something that she found very interesting.*
Kitty: There! Highlight that clue right there!
*The editors drew a yellow circle around a thimble, indicating that it might be a clue that went over everyone's heads.*
Fred: A thimble? Does this character know to sew?
Terry: I don't know. I gotta admit, this has me completely stumped.
Stew: You ain't kiddin'.
Kitty: Yeah, well think long and hard about it. And, while we're doing that, it's time to draw our second Wild Card contestant for the season! And, for this Wild Card, we're opening up the toy chest, and digging out some old memories. It may be playtime, but you shouldn't toy with this contestant. So, here she is! Please give a warm welcome to the Ragdoll!
Ragdoll: The Ragdoll has come out to play, but let me tell you, it's not pretty being me. No, I'm dead serious. Even though I've become a an favorite back in the day, the executives for the company I worked for never really gave me a fair shot. As a result, I only appeared in two episodes before being downgraded to a background role. Heck, even when my series got rebooted recently, I was treated like a hunting trophy by a stupid giant chicken that thinks he's a human! Oh, that REALY made me so mad. But, since the reboot's been renewed for a few more seasons, maybe I'll get a chance to really flesh out my character. But, right now, I'd like to take a shot at becoming Queen of the Masked Toon Singer. That's definitely not whacko, if you catch my drift.
Song: "Into The Unknown" by Idina Menzel feat. Aurora: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQmHVRFL2lw
Kitty: Oh, my! That was beautiful, Ragdoll.
Isabelle: She's gonna be a strong contender, I can tell!
Stew: Hmmmmm. I'm sure there's a string on her back making her sing. Can we turn her around so we can see it?
Ragdoll: (turns around to show Stew that she has no string) Nope! No string! Just pure talent.
Stew: Oh. Well, that just shows how good you are.
Chick: Yeah, you gotta be REALLY talented to hit the high notes in that song.
Kitty: Okay, enough jibber-jabber! Let's rewind the Ragdoll's Clue Package, and see what kinda clue we might've missed.
*Then, the Clue Package appears on the screen behind Kitty and the Ragdoll, and she begins to rewind it to see if there were any clues that they might have missed. She then stops it at something she found interesting.*
Kitty: There! Highlight that clue right there!
*The editors draw a yellow circle around a calendar where the Mondays were all marked with red x's, indicating that it may have been a clue that the panel may have missed.*
Fred: Mondays? And, they've all been marked!
Cadence: Maybe this character hates Mondays?
Fred: You mean like Garfield?
Kitty: Well, whatever you guys are thinking, write down your first impression guesses right now, and put it in the slot.
Terry, Cadence, Chick, Stew, Fred, and Isabelle: (writing down their first impression guesses for the Ragdoll, and putting them in the slot)
Kitty: Thanks very much. Well, that about does it for Group Omega, and the second Wild Card to be dealt. Now, it's up to you, folks! Leave a comment down below telling us which three you think should move on to the next round. The singer with the least amount of votes will be unmasked, and sent back to their universe. So, happy voting, everyone!
