Aldric was hired to help assault a city, but he is having a hard time finding it, which is not unusual for him. He has a bad sense of direction and he is fully aware of that. So, he thinks he is simply lost.

What he is unaware of is that he is exactly where he is supposed to be. It’s just that a magic user tried to defend the city by shrinking Aldric down to size before he could get there. What he was unaware of was that Aldric’s people are immune to shrinking spells and when he cast said spell it actually backfired on himself and the city.
