Niko is my sole male character and my 'fursona' (though he's still distinct from 'me'). His unusually small stature may give him him a youthful appearance, but he's an independent adult with a big heart (though he is still kind of a "kid at heart").
After approximately 1000 years, I'm finally making new reference sheets for my characters, now larger and clearer and with various details specifically called out that weren't before. Minor design tweaks may appear here and there too.
I also decided to include (rough) characters ages; for a long time I didn't concern myself with specifics, but because I have a cute-focused art style and some people have thought that Niko was younger than he is, I thought it best to remove ambiguity.
At the moment, Niko and Rina are the only ones finished, but I hope to get to the others before TOO long (certainly not 5+ years like it has been since the last ref sheet...) :)

Ah, I suppose I see what you mean. Well, more than anything I wanted my avatar/fursona to be cute and cuddly, and I really like drawing characters with pretty hair, so he would probably look about the same even if he was a different species (or different type of cat). I suppose him being a male calico was my slight bit of 'special snowflake'-ism.
