This is possibly the cheesiest picture I have ever drawn. My characters, dressed as the characters from the GetBackers anime series! XD Who knew that they liked to cosplay as much as I do? ;3
It's that damn matirx7's fault. She got me hooked on Get Backers and now I've become obsessed. ;_; The characters on that show all have such great personalities, and a few of them reminded me of my own characters. So why not draw them all dressed like them? I have explanations for each of them, so from top to bottom, left to right, we have...
Pyrexia as Natsumi - This was a last minute decision really. Natsumi is a young girl that works in the Honky Tonk cafe. Pyrexia wouldn't even know what a cafe is. XD But they're both young and innocent, so I guess that works.
Lexx as Akabane [Doctor Jackal] - Lexx is actually more like Kyouji Kagame [not pictured] but I had to have a Kuroudo! His voice is so lazy and sexy and his dress sense is perfect. Just like Lexx! XD
Carreau as Natsuhiko - You guys won't have met this character of mine before. This is the first public picture I have of him. Carreau is Cillian's inner demon, but he has a form all of his own too. Basically he's a dark version of Cillian and looks more demon-like. Natsuhiko is kind of like an inner demon to Yukihiko, so that's why I chose those two to dress like them.
Cillian as Yukihiko - And here's Cillian! He looks so scared here. Yukihiko is much softer compared to his brother Natsuhiko, so he's like Cillian.
Wyn as MakubeX - The only reason I chose Wyn [who has his Winter coat on still btw] to be computer whizz MakubeX was because he's young, and MakubeX has a bird on his arm in the opening titles. XD
Tea as Juubei - Juubei is a very serious guy. He's very quiet and has no sense of humour. Tea has more of a dry sense of humour, but he's also quiet and serious, so I dressed him as Juubei.
Zesiro as Hevn - They're both girls that like to flaunt themselves. So... obviously Zesi had to be Hevn!
Kujuu as Kazuki - I can totally imagine Kujuu as a thread-spinner. In fact, when I was watching the series I was always calling Kazuki 'Kujuu' because he reminds me of him so much! They're both feminine, and soft spoken, and often mistaken for females!
Fenix as Ban - Ban is probably my favourite character, so it's only obvious that Fenix should be him! Plus Ban's personality is very similar to Fenix's, and Ban's relationship with Ginji is very much like Fenix and Tanuki's.
Tanuki as Ginji - Never could there be a better match for Ginji than Tanuki! They're alike in many ways. Scatterbrained, but with a heart of gold and can you say courage? Yes, Ginji's clothes were just perfect for Tanuki!
Requiem as Shido - I made Req into Shido because they have the same build really, though Req isn't QUITE as muscly as Shido is. XD Their personalities don't really match, but hey, Req looks so cute. ;D
Harlequin as Himiko - It was mainly the black hair and star on Himiko's cheek that made me think of Harlie. They also have the same kind of strong will, but Harlie is nowhere near as angsty as Himiko is.
London as Emishi - This creeps me out so much. XD Emishi has the worst fashion sense ever. But he's a huge joker, so London fitted into his clothes just perfectly.
I kept my character's hair color and just used the other character's clothes, just so that it kept the familiarity of my characters. It took longer than I expected it too. Probably because I tried out an anime style cel shading technique. XD Ah well!
