Gesea and Verfis are mice who lived during the valician-demon war, over a thousand years ago, before Estrella's birth. they've since passed down as a folktale in valician history, often told to children and portrayed in books and movies.

When she was a teen, verfis was cursed by a very high ranking demon, basically the right hand of the god queen Nazoria, with a plague that followed wherever she went, spreading drought and decay. Afraid to hurt anyone else, Verfis fled to the wild, where she unwillingly continued spreading the curse wherever she walked. The Divines, tangled with defending the planet and unable to dispel such a powerful spell with a magic from a different origin from their own without enough time, were about to just end her misery instead when her sister Gesea pled to them to imbue her with a blessing that does the opposite effect to the curse, knowing that this meant she would be tasked to always be next to her sister, for the rest of her life. When together, both spells would cancel eachother out. It took a year for both mice to be reunited again, with Gesea following Verfis's path of destruction and spreading her blessing where only death remained. Once together, the two tried to go back to society, but the people were still afraid of Verfis. The two then decided to leave society and live by themselves, together and never to be apart. And so it was made, a mouse with the power of destruction against her will, and a mouse who gave herself up to help her sister.

Some stories depict them as spirits that control nature, with Verfis controlling natural disasters and Gesea controlling the magic that gives the land life. other stories tell the two twins are still alive, residing in the Divine Mother's garden in her palace.
