...Yup. Lol. I just picked him up, he walked away but he doesn't seem to want to fly...his wings look fine and he is very alert.
Unfortunately, I caught him around 4 earlier and finding a place to bring a wild bird on the Friday late afternoon before Labor Day...problematic. I'm going to hold onto him til I can bring him somewhere, if I let him go I pretty much doom the poor guy.

Yea, I'm being pretty careful around him, been keeping my hands washed and have him somewhere pretty safe. It's actually not the first time I've kept an injured pidgeon (if he IS injured) so I'm not too worried :) I wish I could bring him somewhere right away though, unfortunately Labor Day weekend kind of throws a wrench in that :/
The new theories are:
A. He COULD be a domestic pigeon someone set free, as he was easy to get and he has no injuries we can find or
B. He flew into a window or something and has knocked himself dumb. Usually when they do that they just need a rest period til they remember "oh yea! I can FLYYY!"

Don't worry - this isn't the first time I've picked up a pidgeon to care for, definitely not the first bird :) I've been keeping my hands washed and when he is gone I will dispose of the box and such. I am holding onto the guy til I can bring him to a bird rehabilitation clinic. I've done this more times than I can count!
Mice are cute *thiefs your mouse*
But I've been attacked by pigeons, swans, ducks, geese, sparrows, bluejays, had a mockingbird land on my head and get mad at me, buzzed by an owl (twice), and had a vulture/buzzard (wasn't going to stop long enough to find out...) follow me for an hour...me and birds don't get along well :B
