I told you once before about the gods of Rieland, yes, you won't hear the legend of their origins in the world yet, but today I will tell you a little about Christy. Who she was before she became a vessel and merged with the goddesses, and what she became after that.
Before Gijn and Neares incarnated in her, there were other vessels that passed to each other after the death of the previous one, and no mortal knows exactly how many vessels there were. It was only known that they all merged with the goddesses and their personalities dissolved into the divine essence.
But Christie was a small exception. I think all of you know such sphere of magic as "Necromancy", forbidden in many worlds sphere, allowing to interact with the dead. But all necromancers are inherently mortal and this very death they fear. They look for ways to avoid it and find it. Some become vampires, and some choose the path of the Leach.
Christie, even before her reunion with God, was a powerful sorceress, chosen by the people of the White Castle as their ruler, and then the four lords chose her as the new Empress. Yet behind all this lurked a secret, well hidden beneath the mantle of illusion. By this point, the flesh had been replaced by white, polished bones adorned with rune symbols and various spells. Precious stone vessels of energy replaced the heart and were inserted along the points of energy convergence, amplifying the spells and granting eternal life to the draconess. Lichens, however, are forced to feed on the souls of other creatures, something she has not escaped. For years she had to slaughter draconians of her own and other cities for food, but her replaced heart could no longer feel pity. And of this secret only her friend, Erlen, knew. The green dragoness, a page from another world, who had chosen to remain forever in Rylanda and who had become Christie's advisor when she ascended the throne.
Vessels are immortal and cannot die of natural causes, and thus cannot release the divine essence. However, the vessels can be forcibly broken, even if it is difficult to do so. At the time the last vessel broke, Christy was over 1,000 years old. And she accidentally broke the vessel herself when, once again, she went out hunting and smelled an extremely powerful soul. She attacked and fell the vessel to the ground in a deadly battle, starting to drink her soul and magic from it, unresponsive to the release of what she could not comprehend.
Inside her soul and mind a battle began; she did not want to let the divine energy into her, afraid of the wrath of the gods, afraid of losing herself. Her will collided with the divine and crumbling sand she continued to resist, refusing to fall into nothingness....In the morning she woke up in the clearing where it had all happened. The body that had once been a vessel lay in the ground in golden ashes, from which extraordinary flowers had already begun to sprout. She took them away and since then, these unusual flowers, resembling distant stars, have been growing all over the castle.
No one knows exactly what happened then, the only certainty was that Christie has since changed a lot in character, could feel again and began to live, ruling not only her empire but the whole world, in secret from her subjects.
Time passed, Erlene left this world, and was replaced by Vasilisa. The immortal basilisk, that after death was always reborn. The invasion of the flesh, the War of Annihilation, and many other things passed, but the ruler remained unchanged and only two living beings know of her great secret.
