It feels like a very nice start to a romantic tale. I worry, however, about the setting. Even with so brief an introduction, the danger can be felt lurking nearby. I wonder if I should rely on your optimism to keep things from getting truly heartbreaking... or if you are going to explore even more new territory with this story.
