Memories Of P4N-D[0]24's Past [ANIMATED!] - HigthNekoHNZ
HigthNekoHNZ indulged me into making this "self gift" for my birthday (october 19th) showing the ancient past of Pandora, when she was the top of the line roaming city and her drones were not mindless simple things. Here a random person is getting some tea served by a richly decorated drone for human interaction.

Eh, i made this animation with AI before AI was even a thing everybody hated.
Like: this is from october 2021, most people started even knowing about AI near the end of 2022, with most of shitstorm starting in 2023, due to idiots thinking "we could get rid of artists!".
I currently do not think i made the right decision to do this animation.
It was "a cool toy" at the time, and i always loved robots, so seeing computers being able to "do things" like this was definitively something that brought me joy at the time.
But i do not think i would do the same today. Too many people started hammering on artists, and the artists (rightfully) fought back.
As usual, idiots ruin everything. What could have been a new tool for art became something stupid because people wielded it AGAINST art.
Cue the "you were the champion, you were supposed to bring balance, not join the sith" spiel thingy.
In any case, today i see this as me marring the work of an artist and i do not like it anymore. It just remains as a testament that good ideas often pave the way to the deepest of hells.

i can see an argument for "rapid prototyping and brainstorming", but like, most people just use AI to get "the finished product". and skip entirely the part where humans are involved. Like: i have seen on stores several items that had clearly AI generated art on them, and nobody even edited the "weird stuff" AI usually produces. If one told me "i want to use AI to give the artist a clear idea of what i want" then i am all for it, it's basically one of the few use cases where it would help, because, believe me, i used to be a serial commissioner before my family cut the funds under me and i know full well what it feels like to waste an artist's time just because what i believe are "clear instructions" are not clear at all and having an idea of what i want to achieve USUALLY is a good thing. But if one told me "nah, artists are useless, look at me typing and producing art... BRRRRRRRRRRRR" then, no... that's just moronic.
