While watching a special on the discovery channel about Yellowstone erupting and covering the entire world in a cloud of ash I came up with this idea. The dropping temperatures, the steady decay of the planet, all perfect for a post apocalyptic theme, which is what this is. Exias, the main villain in the story after Ghaust's, breaks free from oblivion and has Death Peak erupt, sending the world to the brink of destruction. With this eruption comes quakes, tornadoes, and other natural disasters that reshape the land from the world of life to the world of ruin, hence the name of the song. That being said, this is the over world theme for walking around the world map in the dying world..
