As the duo quietly walk through Nottingham, Sheriff John finishes his nightly rounds with Draco. "Everything's nice and quite tonight, no disturbances or suspicious activities." Remarking on the peace and quietness. "Great job on being quiet, Draco." John yawns as he stretches his arms out.
"No prob, Johnny Boy." The neo-dragon yawns and stretches his arms out too, unintentionally bumping his fist into the bear's belly. "Sorry."
"Nah, didn't feel a thing, britches." Patting his own belly, John notices how sleepy his little derg friend is. "C'mon buddy, lets head back to my place and crash there before we crash here." Gesturing, John makes his way towards his home, Draco follows.
"Right, my first night in your cabin. It's lovely inside there." Draco comments on John's home. After walking for a while, Draco's having trouble keeping up the pace. Luckily, John looks behind him to see the situation, Draco's starting to sag forward.
"Dang, Draco. Thought I'd be the one who's closest to collapsing here." John walks over to Draco, picks him up and rests him against his belly. Draco however stands himself up as his feet sink into the bear's belly, noticing John is holding onto his arms. "Don't worry buddy, it's not far away." Turning back on his route, John walks as his belly bobs up and down with Draco on it.
"Can we sing John, I think that can keep me awake longer?" Draco suggests.
"Sure we can, nice and quite singing." John agrees, knowing just the song to sing, begins dancing as he walks. "Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities."
"Forget about your worries and your strife." Draco bounces up and down on John's belly as he too sings and dances. "I mean the bare necessities Old Mother Nature's recipes that brings the bare necessities of life." They both sing.
"Wherever I wonder." John sings.
"Wherever I roam." Draco sings.
"I couldn't be fonder of my big home."
"The bees are buzzin' in the tree to make some honey just for me."
"When look under the rocks and plants and take a glance at the fancy ants and maybe try a few."
"The bear necessities of life will come to you." They both sing. "They'll come to you. Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities. Forget about your worries and your strife. "I mean the bare necessities, that's why a bear can rest at ease, with just the bear necessities of life." Yawning, Draco can barely keep his eyes open.
"Uh-oh." John chuckles. "Looks like this did a reverse effect on you, buddy." Holding onto Draco's back and bottom, John rests Draco's head against his belly and begins to gently sing in a lullaby tone. "Now just try and relax, yeah." Gently stroking Draco's back. "Cool it, fall apart on my belly." Draco closes his eyes, trying to fall asleep but part of him wants to hear his big friend's singing. "'Cause let me tell ya something, little britches. If you act like that bee acts, uh uh, you're working too hard. Don't spend your time lookin' around, for something you want that can't be found." Seeing Draco has fallen asleep, John continues his way home with his guest in tow. Soon they approach the cabin, amongst all the other houses. Coming to the front door, John reaches for his key and opens the door. Closing and locking it behind him, John carries Draco through the living room, kitchen, the hall and into John's bedroom. Placing the sleeping neo-derg on his bed, John undoes his belt and places the sword attached against the night stand. Placing his hat on a post, John pulls out his orange night shirt out off the head board and walks into his bathroom. Undressing himself, John washes himself off in the shower, not too hot or cold but just right. Drying himself off, John slips on his night shirt as it comes down to his knees. Brushing his teeth, John steps out of the bathroom and hangs his tunic on a hanger on his lamp post. Picking up the sleeping Draco, John pulls out the covers and lays himself down. Gently placing Draco on his belly, John carefully pulls the bed sheet over himself and Draco. "Goodnight, Draco." John kisses Draco on the head and rests his head on his pillows. Both are now sound asleep.
