Doctor Strange and Clea - ink v1 - old art
There will be some non-anthro pics during Inktober, but hopefully they will be groovy anyway. ^_^
This goes back to '94 and was just an experimental noodle to see what it would be like to combine early Steve Ditko Doctor Strange style with "Red Nails" era Barry Windsor-Smith inking.
Before i went into the animation biz i wanted to do comics for Marvel or whatever...lost interest in that during art school...still want to do some comix, my own characters, no long-underwear types...
An old crow-quill pen (they become more flexible with use) and ink, taking chances on the pen breaking on the broad lines...
approx 12 x 9 in ??
There is an old colour version of this from early '08. i had posted it at dA back then ( i thought i had posted it here years ago...oops - will do so after inktober.) :

And i have a new version 2 edit that i will post in a few minutes ....
- but this version has a sort of psychedelic play between Clea's leggings and Doc's sash that is very late 60's - the time of the comics.

I've been acquiring some of the EC Horror collections and the Warren Creepy and Eerie collections. Although I'm not a fan of his, I did obtain a copy of Creepy Presents Steve Ditko. Hey, there's a dealer at the local flea market who carries the stuff I like, and I'm a completist -- it feeds my OCD.
