"Scion, avatar, prophet--I have received many names, many assumptions and expectations. All of them inaccurate. I am just a man. An unwilling pawn in the schemes of gods who attempt time and again to impart an antiquated lesson to a world that will not listen."

I'm surprised, and at a loss for much in the way of analysis. I'd gotten the impression some time ago that Ignus had some connection to dragons. From another piece in your gallery.

I couldn't have guessed that he'd been chosen by divine forces for some great purpose. I hesitate to speculate what that might have been, or how successful he was.
This is a beautiful piece, by and by. The illustration within the book is delightful. It pops in comparison to the rest, a distinct style fitting for the fictional work it appears in. Should I assume the illustration on the opposite page corresponds to Caelix?

Just the one dragon, haha. The other page is a phoenix, which indeed corresponds to Caelix. It's not subtle, LOL.
The calamity is essentially their great purpose, which makes it all the more unfortunate that I don't have it hammered out yet. I'd actually love to swing some ideas by you sometime, you might be able to help me piece something together from the handful of dumb parts I've got.
