First contact doesn't always go well though this was probably a failure of communication leading to misunderstanding. I imagine though like the lasers normally are this will be nonlethal so ZX9 will have the change to apologise.
Perhaps through her determination 71 might be able to salvage the defunct robot, though the flowers do serve to show that life does endure and beauty will arise anew.
Flint looks to be an enthusiastic teacher and I imagine would be quite a fun one, particularly if he gives demonstrations of the moves.
Tial on the other hand not so much with the lectures and maybe not being quite so tolerant of the fact that not everyone is so good with mathematics or blessed with a Zaw-Afikh's high intelligence.

Not so sure this is first contact-- the Unknown Beeings are a TV show on Roia so you were right that the creature looks very Roean... it really is an actor in a rubber mask rather than a prop or CGI. Hopefully, the chubby alien will be okay. :<
