In 1069 AD, Malor Rex, king of the Malorian Empire led his troops to Hammer Hill to put an end to the activities of Badon the Smasher, a notorious bandit who preyed on caravans passing through the area. It is said that as Malor approached the castle, Badon came forth and challenged Malor to resolve the battle in single combat. Malor accepted the duel. Unfortunately for Badon the Smaher, he soon became Badon the Smashed when Malor brought his hammer down on him, squashing him into a flat pancake. Malor held up Badon the Smashed and rallied on his troops to flatten the rest of the bandits in the castle.
