Here is a wood carving gouge I forged from a section of coil spring for a car.
The blade is a crescent shape so it can cut a hollow form into the material.
This can be used to carve bowls, cups, spoons, plates, cutting boards, dough boards, etc.
The handle is made from section of chair leg from a chair some one threw away, though it is much thinner than it used to be.
The wood is Vietnamese rubber wood. It's a nice hard wood.
