TwitterWhen animals considered to be "prey" by the apex predators of the world begin to band together for safety, where does it leave those caught in between?
Namely, a pair of pine martens, carnivores and flesh-eaters themselves, but small enough to be considered food for the bears, wolves and gluttons of the forest and field. They're on a journey to seek sanctuary with the rabbits, squirrels and other prey that have gathered to Oren--but they don't know if welcome or condemnation will meet them.

To be expected that this isn't the Hollow. Hemlock would never have let any pred near the true Hollow. But now that she is away Oren can do it his way and take the deep dive to show the 2 preds the true Hollow and start his new vision. And Rask can see the thing eh is to protect.
Also I think Rask will build a true defense force for the Hollow that is not lead by fear like Hemlock did. That will take time as he needs to get the trust of those he leads. And part of that will also be to find like minded predators possibly Otters, Weasels, and by chances sneaky foxes.
Can not wait to see how this unfolds and especially how the inhabitants of the Hollow react to a Marten suddenly standing in their true sanctuary.
