I'm really not happy with how this turned out, but I'm to the point where I need to call it done and move on. The Mantis Lords fight is my absolute favourite par of the game, and I want to do their design justice. Unfortunately, I'm just having trouble reconciling the shapes. Maybe one day I will come back to it.
