I found out from Tom (Duncan) that the lady actually took a picture of us and was looking at it on her phone to see how it came out. I was looking at the event photographer in the opposite direction at the time. So it goes to show that a single picture doesn't always tell the whole story, and sometimes things aren't always what they seem.
Yes, it's been some time. The picture above was taken on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021. Tom has been working as a character for this event ever since 2007. He even won a Dream Maker Award back in 2019 (there is a journal entry about it on his Fur Affinity page). This year was the first time we had both Duncan and Evil Duncan out together. In previous years I served as Tom's handler, but with his health declining, we figured it would be best to have us both in suit this year in case he couldn't complete the entire time at the event. We both made it through the event despite the warm temperature (eighty degrees). It was nice having both characters out together the way we have done at conventions over the years.
