A poster, in the style of the famous Soviet limited pallet. The Russian/Czech colony planet of New Samara ended up with two sentient races, the original humans and the uplifted weasels, rescued from a genetic research lab that was being shut down. The 7 weasels of "Batch 6" were rescued by a space merchant, who trained them as his crew. Eventually, they were discovered, and the local government, wishing to increase interest in an advanced space program for the stagnating colony, granted the weasels citizenship.
Now, after many adventures, the weasels have established their own "colony" on New Samara, and work with the government/navy as far-traders and explorers.

Well, one of the 7 was trained in genetics. She is keeping track of all the possibilities, and so the 3 males and 3 females that are able to reproduce are taking turns producing litters. In the first 4 years, we are up to 27. I guess when the kits are old enough, we will begin back-crossing. They aren't humans, so there is no arbitrary taboos. The original lab equipment still exists (we don't know that in-game), so someone could make more.
You would just need to hook a live monkey brain up to a hot cup of english tea and design the improbability drive, then tune it to the right improbability that a colony of skiltaire would suddenly arive on the other side of the planet. You should however be carefull as it has been estimated but for the sake of the populious that it is around the same probability thatjellow will rain down form the sky for three days and also near the likelyhood that toilet water will spontaniously combust.
