I decided to revisit an old design I've had for awhile, which was in desperate need of a revamp. I feel that she gained a bit more uniqueness from this design change, as she started out as a protogen(but is no longer one for reasons I'd rather not mention).
Toffee, an alien reptilian who's been unwillingly modified to have cybernetic features, was abducted from her home planet by an unknown galactic race in hopes that she would be a perfect candidate for their newly developed cyborg technology. To their delight, Toffee was able to adapt well to her new features, and she's now being used to scout planets for useable resources. She documents the various flora and fauna of each place she visits, contributing to a space-wide database. With her mechanized body, Toffee is able to withstand the elements and can survive conditions most organisms would deem unlivable. A bit of servicing every once and awhile keeps her technology up to date, and her tattered body restored. Because of this, she's been alive for an unknown amount of time, though it can be assumed that it's well over her species' typical lifespan. Knowing her family back home is long gone, Toffee often finds herself incredibly lonely and homesick for a place she'd no longer recognize. She always makes an attempt to connect with sentient life during her travels, putting on a friendly expression and demeanor. Her aching need for companionship is one of the few things that keep her going, aside from the curiosity she has for the unknown and unusual.
