Not possible in color before Disney reacquired Oswald from the potbelly.
The name Oswald always reminds me of an ancient king in England, who was saintly -and wound up killed in battle by a heathen king. Killing the heathen king -in his sins!- helped pave the way to Christianizing England in general.
Because Oswald was saintly, people feared he would die soon -saints do not live long. He lived -and died- in the 7th century.
