Yesterday it still was raining, so I could make good progress with my pencil picture plus another unexpected real life pencil picture order for a future acrylic painting.
So I rewarded myself at the evening with two more of my favourite tied up wolves.
Here we have the Sheriff of Nottingham from Disney´s Robin Hood in a scenario I would have loved to see in the movie, because somehow it would have been fair to show this, after Little John´s uniform thiefery^^

The Sheriff doesn't look very happy about this situation or as though he's got much of his dignity, though certainly he'd be a deserving candidate for this situation. Though given all of his various villainous misdemeanours and bullying ways, I wonder if he's perhaps also been told that he's going to be serving a lengthy period in the stocks with an appropriate additional punishment. This punishment being hinted at with a few light pokes at his ample belly.
Perhaps for his prison sentence it would be sleeping in the dungeons at night but each day he'd be brought out to the stocks in Nottingham market to face the taunts and jeers of all the poor folks whom he'd tyrannised over the years with maybe some wet cloths and mouldy cabbages thrown at him.
You're right! Watching the movie, when you get to the prison escape part you really get the impression we are gonna get a scene with the sheriff. Specially because of how he is grabbed by Little John, and because of scenes prior to that moment. And in fact, when the sheriff appears again, it actually seems like there's a missing scene, one where he's bound AND gagged, struggling to get out, or at the very least, tied up, hoping outside of the prison, calling the guards to be assisted.
Either way, your drawing is great and I can certainly imagine he would've been this angry, being put in this situation.

I wholeheartely agree here.
Maybe Don Bluth (still staff of Disney then) had such a scene in mind, but the bosses forced him to leave out this and that or change the scenarios like it was done with the threat of beheading Robin Hood that resulted in the comedy chase afterwards...

Oh no I get it he’s got a big fat body with kinda short stubby legs so yeah I can see how that could be sort of difficult perhaps modifying his body a little bit would be your best bet.
But it’s totally up to you if you want to spend the time to have him hogtied. Or just tied up in general, not asking you to do something you wouldn’t want to do. Great work though I’m loving these pics lately ^^
