The removable toe-cap is a smart choice, and the sole tread pattern implies the ability to have a definite feel for the ground under the pawpads if the dots are a different material from the main sole.
I'd want to see what they look like in an 'open' position for insertion of the paw/foot before tightening it down for wear.
