Pyrodent live high in mountains and glacial passes where it is always cold and snowy, they do so to prevent their bodies form over heating due to the powerful flame within. They use their warm bodies to tunnel through the ice and snow in search of berries, seeds and grass hidden below.

Furnice are rarely seen in the wild, only occurring when they stubble upon a Firestone hidden in a craven. While they fire within them grows far more powerful, they gain far greater control over it, allowing them to completely clear a mountain top of snow.
