The Pokémon Palkia is meant to be the legendary representing 'space' (with its counterpart being 'Time). I always felt that the legendaries of the 4th and 5th generation were very 'meh' in terms of deigns. Just vaguely dragon/dinosaur-like. It's a shame because Palkia is not only a creature of space, it also has water as a typing but lacks any sort of relevance to its design.

So I had a go at my own re-design. Personally, I think I could have pushed it further and done something not unlike a huge space sea-serpent with a compass shaped head. But for now I just added more fins and webbed hands and toes to add to its water typing, along with a compass symbol on it's body where the 'pearls' reside to be a stronger symbol of how we navigate our space.

Nosepass is the real compass Pokémon though.
