This is a pic of a new character, Merrick Shintaro, from when he was aged at 10. (He's a fox / jackal hybrid, with 9 tails.)
As a kid with PTSD, his grandparents (from his father died) in a car accident, with him in it...where he was the ONLY survivor within the car wreck. (Thus, leading this child to have a hatred for mass-produced automobiles...and with GOOD REASON, too!)
Ever since it was a wild giratina that saved his life back then, Merrick Shintaro dreamed of one day meeting up with that pokemon...and hopefully join forces, to save lives in need!
He does become Melody's boyfriend, later...in addition, his first pokemon he DID have, since he was an eevee, but is now an espeon, since he evolved. (The espeon is his service pokemon, as well.)
