Poor Zaw-afikh, still getting used to life in the new city. People don't come in through the window! Luckily professor Kolbein "Cole" Vidkunn was understanding and explained how that can be very scary to other species.

With Zaw-Afikh being of small size and very flexible along with their climbing abilities, I imagine their doorways might not always necessarily be at ground level and potentially even smaller than the other species might think.
Not so surprising that it would be scary, especially if Cole had heard of the Roar or when you consider the potential for Zaw-Afikh as cat burglars or just a voyeur or stalker. He's certainly a kind and understanding professor and at least after the explanation Tial would probably remember to use the door next time and wait for a more reasonable hour.
