On the left, a settled loaf, waiting for his breakfast in the morning. Must not be a work morning, since he usually gets semi-dressed early on those days. As far as he’s concerned, the sooner he gets used to the feeling of his buttfluff being matted by a pair of pants, the better. But not today; today is pantsless. In front of him on his right is probably his trainer, somewhere around the sink, preparing fruits or mixing ingredients in bowls. Mike watches in awe, not because he can’t do what his trainer does (he’s learning, but does need help sometimes), but because he likes to watch his partner. Admires him every second he’s in motion.
In the top-right, a sleeping loaf, passed out soundly as can be. Is he on the bed? The couch? The floor? Mike doesn’t exactly mind where he sleeps thanks to all the pudge-padding and fur, and when he’s tired, he’s a sound sleeper no matter what. His head, craned into his arm as it is, means there was a deliberate attempt to get comfortable. Did he take off his work clothes and then immediately pull himself onto the bed? Did he eat a big meal and then retire to a room to sleep it off? Is he catching up on sleep with a nap after staying up too late last night? I think the only guarantee is that he wouldn’t turn away a cuddle buddy.
Lastly in the bottom right, a curious loaf, raising a foot inquisitively. Here reflects a period of introspection for Mike as he tries to figure out what it is about his lower appendages that captures his partner’s attention. When he had only recently evolved into his current form, the question of “Will he still like how I look?” arose. This fear was put to rest very shortly, but Mike’s sense of wonder remained regarding the human’s - at times innocent, at times less innocent - fascination with his paws. Silently, he inspects himself, pondering the likelihood of ever understanding people like his trainer (and us).
