Mistrider leaps into the fray
Lookout evil doers, here comes the Mistrider looking to bash some heads and take some scalps. I feel sorry for whoever she's about to pounce on, she looks a bit too happy.

At my last Dragon*Con in '07, I made absolutely BUPKIS at my table. Four days of nothing. To emphasize the point, the last fifteen minutes of the convention, I had a sign on my table that said 75% discount off cover price on my comics. Five minutes later I upped the ante to 80% off. Five more minutes and I put in my final markdown of 90% off. Absolutely dick. That's when I decided if anyone wanted to buy my comics or commission me, they could do it over the Net.
I can tell you another story about my last day at D*C. I had to close shop as I had to go to my FIRST book signing in seven years. The last friggin' hour of the convention, people are unassing the place, and there I am with my books ready to sell and sign. None of the other celebs attended, and a constaff person CLAIMED that by my being there, I showed my dedication to D*C and I SOLIDIFIED my chances of not only coming back as a guest next year, I'd get a much better time slot at my next signing. They were absolutely WRONG.
