Gosh, have I not uploaded this one yet?! Shame!!
This was a super super fun theme-exploratory piece with Sula and Alba! To put in a bit of lore-context...! Reading up ahead!
- Alba (the... not-bird) is an entity who controls time. He isn't Time Itself, but more like some creature who just somehow has the innate ability to control it. Kind of like an 'overseer', who makes sure nobody screws with the flow of time.
- Sula (the bird) is... basically normal. Normal tailor/craft-y bird from some time period, and she somehow comes across Alba. Not a spooky interaction, but Alba decides that Sula, quite literally being a good mender and do-er of nice things to others, would be also, metaphorically, a good mender across time. So she is given this 'job'. She is able to travel across time without hassle, and is meant to seek out others and help them via mending their problems. This can range between literally just fixing up a sweater, or someone's soul, so to speak.
- Fortunately, Alba is not a 'evil'. He is a deity-like creature and he is enigmatic at the best of times. But he is not unreasonable: he doesn't keep Sula in 150% overtime servitude or something. Sula does her helping tasks, and still has ample time to just... live her life, really! Her ability to be present anywhere across time also makes it feasible that she would come in contact with almost anyone from any point of time.
I always love exploring little backstories and lore for my characters, and this one certainly was one of my favorites! ^v^
