An interpretatory title for the ones who love thinking about stories and who may see the end of the story of the loner. He takes the last steps to end his story.
Forsaken are his fights.
Forsaken is the loner.
This was an experimental painting of something emotional. I didn't upload it until now and I hope the ones who saw it in real life could enjoy it whilst time would have let them. The one who got it and took it home also took a bunch of emotions and time with them.
Thanks a lot for your supporting and encourageing words about this image.
This was the very first time I put my hands on an entire acrylic painting. I used no other materials than acrylics on MDF, so nothing that absorbs paint just as paper does. It took me one week to think about this imag, to concept it and to finish it. The painting progress was a lot of fun because I felt free to smear paint with my fingers, the painting knives, tooth brushes and cloths. I destroyed two mugs, one toothbrush and several brushes and my fingers just looked like the painting itself.
I found the frame at a dark antique-cellar and bought it from there. It must be really old but I'm really addicted to old and damaged frames. I actually wanted to damage the frame using a hammer to describe the image even better but some people complained at the con because the frame is damaged. XD
Guys, I do that intentionally.
And sorry for the crappy photo.
Acrylics, 60 x 70 on MDF.
Here are some photos of the image! :]

Sad but true to most peoples lives...you may have found a mate or have plenty of other loving people in your life but in the end you die alone and you fade into time. Kind of a pessimistic view on things I know but when you take away the fantasy and the hopes all thats left is a cold truth but hey then its followed by the warming truth that by dieing you continue the cycle of life. Sry real tired atm and am feeling a bit negative XD either way its a beautiful piece and as always deserves a fav and save <3 Keep on filling peoples lives with the colors from your gorgeous paintings Alector <3 I look forward to your future submissions.
My favorite thing about this piece has to be how 3-dimensional the paint is, especially on those rocky crags at the bottom. I also like your use of color in this one; dark and stormy, save for the vibrant green at his feet.
I'd say this painting is sad, but the chaotic, tumultuous quality of it seems to throw the emotions into the wind, so to speak.

I'm sure the subject matter and the title are something a lot of us in this community could identify with to some degree
Had never heard of swanland before the above post, upon research I can certainly see the similarities, you both do great work but I'm glad you lean more to the lush landscape side than the barren fantasy side

Epic was a word that came to my mind at first before noticing all sorts of balanced emotions in the picture that make it mean much more (but that might be a personal point of view).
Some might find it pessimistic, some more realistic. Maybe it’s just a reminder that there are some things worth fighting for even if in the long run, that’s what awaits us.
Enough of my sucky English, some things are hard to express anyhow.
Sometimes art speaks to you beyond what your words can express and you know what you have to do.
PS: At first I didn’t noticed it was a really old framing too I must admit but then it made sense ^^

Life always walking forward to continue itself, and all the while death and destruction lick at the heels, swallowing up everything only a few paces behind the new. We fray apart and turn to dust, our words becoming nothing more than shadowed memories rotting in the minds of our descendants, and our dreams fading away as quickly as our senses. The very oxygen we need to live slowly eats our flesh. We breath death.
