Based on a dream I had.
Luna rowed down this canal on Isla Nublar, doing a regular check of the jungle and waters. A large, dark shape suddenly surfaced not five feet from her kayak, making Luna snap her attention to the animal. To her surprise - and relative relief - a Mosasaur hadn't gotten out of the Lagoon. A younger Liopleurodon Ferox gently swam beside her, matching her speed. Her shaking fingers grasped desperately at her radio, almost dropping it in the canal as she pressed down on the button. "H-hey, uhhh.... When did we engineer a Liopleurodon?" Her voice was shaky, primal fear demanding she keep her eyes trained on the almost fifteen foot long reptile. "Lio- Oh! They were a newer addition to the Aquarium. Didn't management tell you?" The man on the other end asked. "N-no. There's uhh... There's one of them following me!" Soon, the eye of the creature breached the surface. The Liopleurodon's gaze was filled with intelligence and curiosity, simply regarding her as if it were watching another larger reptile. "It's probably Remus. Don't worry, he's.... Not usually aggressive!" His words made her freeze. H... He...? "Don't you mean..... She?" Luna asked cautiously. "Nope, some of the dinos have been born.... Well.... Male, lately." Remus slowly inched closer to the tiny kayak and equally tiny woman, curious eyes trained on her's. Despite Luna's fear, she knew that this particular L. Ferox..... Didn't act like other Pliosaurs or Mosasaurs. The behaviour wasn't predatory. Soon, the reptile had gotten so close he had been literally inches from her, head barely raised above the murky water as he kept pace with her. "H-hey.... Big guy...." Luna muttered nervously, to which the only response was a blink from the massive animal. She had to stop paddling, seeing that he was too close to propel herself any further. Resting the paddle across her lap, Luna turned further towards Remus. He had stopped as well, remaining completely motionless. She began to work out the nerve to reach over to him, resting her hand on the back of the Liopleurodon's neck. There was no reaction. She started laughing, both from nervousness and her realization that the adage of all the predators here being murder machines wasn't necessarily reality. "What, are you my buddy now?" She asked in between laughter. Remus simply blinked again.

Thanks^^ Fun fact, the program "Walking with Dinosaurs" in the early 2000's really got the size of these animals wrong. The program depicts an 85-foot leviathan, when all known examples of L. Ferox have maxed out at around 20-28 feet in length. Still huge, but a far cry nonetheless!
