The King’s New Flag (Flattober Day 18)
Day 18: Flag
Hear ye! hear ye!
Yesterday evening, at the castle of Nottingham, the vile bandit known as Robin Hood was apprehended by the brave and loyal men of His Royal Majesty.
After the capture of the lowly crook, our Most Gracious Sovereign, wise in his judgement, did order the fair punishment of “flattening and flying” to be done upon the criminal.
The flattened thief shall be displayed in the town square to be flown and publicly humiliated. Afterwards, once our Illustrious Leader, long life to him, has deemed the humiliation done unto the thief to be sufficient and appropriate, he shall then take the squashed bastard down to be used as his new personal banner.
May this serve as a warning to all those who oppose the will of our Ruler!
Long Live the King!
